Cats – this is a serious situation. As intended one of the objects of the attack was for India and Pakistan to get into a spat with each other, again.
Pakistan has nuclear weapons – this iadds waaay too much tension and added unstability to that region.
That combined with Russia, Georgia, Venezuela, Iran, Afghanistan – very scary.
I agree, this happened right after India and Pakistan reached an agreement on nuclear weapon usage/non-usage and I think this was an obvious attempt to help disrupt this agreement and cause tensions. One thing India can not do is do what the terrorist want them to do which is act in fear.
what remains to be seen is whether the USA officially condones cross border attacks by India in Pakistan- much like we have been doing.
this will be either an interesting act of hypocrisy if we oppose it, or a troubling violation of sovereignty if we support it
