The Early Tea Bag Wearers – Updated

This is a re-posting of an earlier video produced by Keystone Progress.  The people in these videos will eventually staple tea bags to their hats and refer to themselves as “tea baggers”.  When they found out what the term “tea bagger” meant, they got their panties in a knot and now call themselves  “bigots”.

It’s a reminder of how all this hatred and racism towards Obama began.

And remember “monkey man”?  Thanks again to Keystone Progress for being there and capturing the truth.

Things have not gotten better.  The hatred, racism and violence has only gotten worse.

UPDATE:  The people in the above videos are the ones that cling to their guns and Jesus while living in the parts of Pennsylvania that either will be or are already open to gas drilling (fracking).  Soon, these people will be seeing this when they turn on their faucets…

Who Says There Isn’t A Third Party

There is the Democratic Party, the Republican Party and the Corporate Party.  Often times, it is hard to tell the difference between the Republican Party and the Corporate Party.  The leaders of the Corporate Party are the Koch Brothers and with their money they influence morons to vote against their own best interest and instead, vote for the continued growth of the Corporatacracy.  The Tea Party is so unaware that they are being manipulated for the benefit of multinational corporations.  The CEO’s get huge bonuses while the Tea Party members either take a pay cut or lose their jobs.  How dumb is that?

This interview speaks for itself.  Americans no longer excel in math and this bozo proves it.  Imagine, paying 31% on everything you purchase.  That would slow down the economy even further.  Rick Barber, Republican candidate from Alabama, dumpkoft iss.

Reid… not Harry

Ever wonder what happened to Reid “The Shoe Bomber”?  Here’s what the judge said at sentencing… (verified by Snopes)

January 30, 2003, United States vs. Reid.

Judge Young: ‘Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you.

On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General. On counts 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutively. (That’s 80 years.)

On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years again, to be served consecutively to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you for each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 that’s an aggregate fine of $2 million. The Court accepts the government’s recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines.

The Court imposes upon you an $800 special assessment. The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further.

This is the sentence that is provided for by our statutes. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence.

Now, let me explain this to you. We are not afraid of you or any of your terrorist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is too much war talk here and I say that to everyone with the utmost respect. Here in this court, we deal with individuals as individuals and care for individuals as individuals. As human beings, we reach out for justice.

You are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to call you a soldier, gives you far too much stature. Whether the officers of government do it or your attorney does it, or if you think you are a soldier, you are not —– you are a terrorist. And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not meet with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.

So war talk is way out of line in this court. You are a big fellow But you are not that big. You’re no warrior. I’ve known warriors. You are a terrorist. A species of criminal that is guilty of multiple attempted murders. In a very real sense, State Trooper Santiago had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and the TV crews were, and he said: ‘You’re no big deal.’

You are no big deal.

What your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have as honestly as I know how tried to grapple with, is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led
you here to this courtroom today?

I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing? And, I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you, but as I search this entire record, it comes as close to understanding as I know.

It seems to me you hate the one thing that to us is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, to believe or not believe as we individually choose. Here, in this society, the very wind carries freedom. It carries it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom, so that everyone can see, truly see, that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discretely. It is for freedom’s sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf, have filed appeals, will go on in their representation of you before other judges.

We Americans are all about freedom. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden; pay any price, to Preserve our freedoms. Look around this courtroom Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. The day after tomorrow, it will be forgotten, but this, however, will long endure.

Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America , the American people will gather to see that justice, individual justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done. The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to
mold and shape and refine our sense of justice.

See that flag, Mr. Reid? That’s the flag of the United States of America . That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag Stands for freedom. And it always will.

Mr. Custody Officer. Stand him down.

So, how much of this Judge’s comments did we hear on our TV sets? We need more judges like Judge Young. Pass this around. Everyone should and needs to hear what this fine judge had to say. Powerful words that strike home.

Full transcript here http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/01/31/reid.transcript/

What’s interesting about this is that the tea baggers and the Republicans have their knickers in a knot because they are afraid of  letting our justice system work.  They don’t trust our justice system and by denying a trial in a criminal court of law to these terrorists, they elevate the terrorist to one of a soldier.  These terrorists are scum and we should never give them the honor of being considered soldiers.  Bring it on… bring them to trial and to justice.  May they spend their lives in a high security prison just like Reid.  If we can keep serial killers behind bars (very scary people), then we can certainly keep terrorists behinds bars.  After all, these terrorists are no worse then serial killers.

President Weekly Address Republican lies Tea Party

Weekly Address – January 16, 2010

President Obama wants the banks to pay back the taxpayer.  That’s a good thing.  Will the Tea Party agree with the President or are they hypocrites that only complain about the Wall Street bailout and the deficit and still turn their backs on our President even when he does what they want him to do?  Which one is it?  I’m not convinced that the Tea Party members really know their history.  They could be acting on a fantasy especially if they relied on the common history books that were used in public schools as their source for information.

Massachusetts Senatorial Candidate, Republican Scott Brown who is supported by the Tea Party and Wall Street banks and other outsiders, opposes fees on banks that would payback the taxpayers.

Another thing, Scott Brown says that he will vote to repeal health care reform.  Be aware, this repeal INCLUDES doing away with Medicare.

The Tea Party At Its…

The Teabaggers at their very worst.  They can’t handle dissent or disagreement.

This man with the brass balls has more courage than the Democrats in Congress.  It is sad that he needed police protection while he made his statement.

(h/t to Pacific John at Daily Kos)

Let me remind you… these people used public roads paid for by the government, were marching on public streets paid for by the government and discarded their trash for the government paid employees to pick up.  They use public services everyday and are too stupid to even realize or acknowledge it.  This is what under-education looks like.

September 11, 2009

Eight years have passed since that awful day when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center buildings killing 3000 people.

It’s difficult to listen to the memorial service and to view pictures from today’s memorial.  It brings back the memories of the fear and the anxiety and all the other emotions which took place that day and the several days following.

After the emotions settled, I began to wonder, why didn’t our President address the American people right away? We needed to hear some words of assurance from a leader and the only leader that stepped forward was Mayor Rudy Guiliani. It didn’t matter if he was competent or not. What matter was Rudy gave the appearance that someone was in charge. In the meantime, President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were no where to be found. They both went into hiding. The idiot, Denny Hastert who was the Speaker of the House at the time, was no where to be found either.  This left Guiliani in front of the TV cameras.

Something just wasn’t right about this whole thing. I don’t believe the story that was given to us by the “press” and I don’t believe the conspiracy theories of Alex Jones either. Because of how the President and Vice President handled this crisis on the day of this event, I believe that the truth lies somewhere in between. Bush and Cheney did many vile things while in office. Abandoning Americans on September 11, 2001 was THE worst thing they did.  When Americans needed someone to turn to, they were missing.

To show disrespect for those who died and for their surviving family and friends, Glenn Beck and his 912/teabaggers plan on marching on Washington, DC on September 12, 2009 to protest the tax cuts that they received from President Obama and to tell Congress that they do NOT want affordable health care coverage.  These fools are tools for big corporations, the insurance companies and for people like Limbaugh, Hannity, Malkin, Rove and Beck who make millions of dollars by spitting hate over the airwaves.  Little do these Beck worshipers realize that the media hate mongers will never do anything that benefits them.  The 912/teabaggers/birthers/deathers are slaves to Fox and Ruppert Murdoch is smiling all the way to the bank… the very bank that received a government bailout.  How ironic.  If they only had a brain.

Bonus reading here.  Cheney acted as President and directed the government on September 11, 2001.  He would not allow Congressional members to show their faces to the media.

Happy Anniversary

The Keystone Progressive is now 1 year old.  Help celebrate by visiting this blog.  Among many of the great videos posted on YouTube, it was the MorrillMajority from the Keystone Progressive that captured the racism that was displayed by the McCain supporters in Johnstown, PA and the “monkey man” McCain supporter that was viewed many times on the msm including Keith Olberman’s show.
