Watch the video at this Daily Kos Diary. It’s a gathering of the Tea Party members and they speak of seceding from the Union. They mention withholding federal taxes and eliminating Congress.
Sounds like the Tea Partiers want a Federation instead of a Union. That would take us back to before 1787. Each State would have its own money and army and navy and would be able to make its own trade agreements. We tried this before and it became chaos. Now who exactly will protect these Tea Partiers from a foreign invasion? There are nations on this planet that would love to take advantage of invading such a weak Federation. This Federation of States needs to understand one thing and that is those States that remain in the Union, keep the Nukes and all the other weapons. The Federation is on its own. Good luck with that.
Just how long will these “snow top” Tea Partiers remain in the Federation once they lose their Social Security and Medicare? Or will they come back begging to join the Union?
Many years ago, I met a man that served in General Patton’s army. He spoke very highly of the General and he told me that Patton was a true inspiration to his troops, a genuine leader. The man’s story ended with Patton’s army waiting outside of Berlin. They were told that they could not enter Berlin until the Russians arrived. The orders were that the Russians would take Berlin. Patton’s army arrived first and spent several days just hanging around.
In a new book published by military historian Robert Wilcox, World War II General George S. Patton was murdered by the CIA to cover up mistakes made during the Allied invasion of Europe.
Military Historian Robert Wilcox claims in a new book that World War Two General George S. Patton was murdered by CIA assassin Douglas Bazata to cover up the Allied forces mistakes that cost thousands of lives. According to Mr. Wilcox, the CIA caused his car to crash, which has caused his official death of a blood clot twelve days later; then, as he lied in his hospital bed in Germany, he was poisoned.
In Mr. Wilcox’s book, he believes that Gen. Patton was going to reveal devastating mistakes made by the Supreme Allied Command, which included the future Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower, “I don’t believe Eisenhower would ever have been elected president if Patton had lived to say the things he wanted to say.”
The Internet chatter lately has been about Congressman Joe Sestak replacing Senator Arlen Specter as Pennsylvania’s candidate for US Senate on the Democratic ticket in 2010. Right now, this seems like a good idea.
Listen to what Congressman Sestak has to say here… and the link to his website can be found here…
Pennsylvania voted for “Change” last November and so far, Specter has not voted for change.
A nation, state, or other political unit: as
a: one founded on law and united by compact or tacit agreement of the people for the common good
b: one in which supreme authority is vested in the people
c:republic
Definition of Autocracy:
The authority or rule of an autocrat
a : government in which one person possesses unlimited power
b : a community or state governed by autocracy
(Definitions from Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Using the above definitions, it is clear that the United States is a “commonwealth”. During the Bush/Cheney years, our government was heading towards an “autocracy.
Ah, the so-called “liberal” media, ha, ha, is reaching for straws when it comes to finding something to criticize President Barack Obama. David Letterman sets them straight…
It is now irrelevant whether Senator Specter beats that right wingnut,Toomey, during the Pennsylvania primary in 2010 because he is about to lose the support of Labor and Democrats during the general election. Specter plans on voting against the Employee Free Choice Act which is a vote against Unions and Labor, both of which are very strong in Pennsylvania. Woo hoo! Looks like the voters will force retirement on Arlen Specter in 2010. More on this story at Huffington Post here.
Now, I don’t have anything against Kentucky Fried Chicken except for their source of chicken. Their commercial clearly shows that KFC, purchases their chicken from Tyson Foods which is one of the leaders in animal brutality. There is no reason to torture a chicken like they do at Tyson Foods…
Then there is the Rush Limbaugh “I want Obama to fail” group and other critics of President Obama’s budget. What I want to know is “what would John McCain do if he was elected President”? I doubt if more tax cuts for the rich would get us out of this financial mess.
Shouts John McCain. Here’s what John McCain has been saying:
“Change is coming, change is coming,” McCain promised, projecting an image of independence and political populism.
One of his challenges is to separate himself from the unpopular incumbent in the White House and fight against Obama’s charge that a McCain presidency would amount to a third term for Bush.
“On the core issues, the economy and the war, he has been joined to Bush at the hip,” said Democratic pollster Mark Mellman. “On the other hand, Bush is a lead weight dragging him down. He has to rely on rhetoric to separate (himself) but he can’t separate himself on policies important to the American people.”
