“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.”
Charles Darwin
The Republicans lead by Dick Cheney (most unpopular VP since Spiro Agnew and draft dodger), Rush Limbaugh (drug addicted, pediphile draft dodger), Karl Rove (commited treason by exposing the name of a covert CIA Agent), and Newt Gingrich (kicked out of Congress for ethics violations) want us to return to the “old days”. They believe that “deregulation” was beneficial to our democracy. The problem with that is they have failed to look at what “deregulation” has done to our economy. Every time banks were given free reign of the investors money, our economy has come close to complete failure. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Dick, Rush, Karl and Newt are all insane. They have failed to learn from the past and they are incapable of responding to change. This is why the Republican party will not survive.

I think the republicans will survive but they aren’t very good at adapting to change. It’s obvious America is changing yet the republicans fail to compromise on most issues. People are getting smarter when it comes to science and technology yet the republicans still think creationism and some apparently don’t know where oil comes from.
I still think that without a strong two party system them America begins to lose what makes us special, which is having a strong democracy. One thing I do know is that that once the republicans start calling themselves Tea Baggers, then it was obvious they were out of touch with the times.
Change is essential to progress.
The Rethuglican Party either can’t change or refuse to change, therefore they can not move forward.
The Republicans don’t believe in Darwin. If you’ve got a quote from the Old Testament, that will work.
We actually need a multi-party system. That would be the healthiest for our democracy. But a conservative party that has intelligence will do. Unfortunately there isn’t one right now. And with Rush, Cheney, and Rove running the show, they’ll teabag themselves to death. Meghan McCain is right. The old guard needs to shut up and go away.
The republicans remain stuck in the past…. and therefore the party will not survive. A new party will eventually emerge.
