My witch hazel is now in full bloom which is late for this bush. It usually blooms in early February. Yesterday, I saw a robin in a field. Must be time to mulch the leaves, remove the dead stalks, and prepare the earth for the Spring and Summer blooms.

I haven’t seen any robins yet, which I usually have by now, but I did start seeing red wing blackbirds last week. I’ve also noticed that the starlings and grackles are back, and I can see buds on the maple trees.
Beautiful! Whoo hoo, spring is coming to Pennsylvania!
Pic makes for a great header!
There is a verigated red stem dogwood behind the witch hazel that is beginning to bud. The stems are still bright red.
