Who is Barack Obama?

John McCain would like you to think that Barack Obama is just a tax and spend liberal that hangs out with criminals. Well, that’s wrong, just plain old wrong. John McCain is a desperate man that has nothing to offer the American people except 4 more years of George W. Bush failed policies.

I’ll tell you who Barack Obama is. He is the person that helped a stranger that was stranded at an airport 20 years ago by paying the $103.00 surcharge that was placed on this stranger’s baggage so that she could board a flight to Norway where her husband was waiting for her. Barack Obama is the person that gently said to John McCain while he was struggling with the name Ahmadinejag during their first debate “That was a tough one”. Obama could have taken the low road and chuckle at McCain’s difficulty but instead he chose the high road by showing kindness to his rival. (more on this story here)

During one of the primary debates, Barack Obama helped Governor Bill Richardson answer a question. Again, Barack Obama could have taken the low road and chose to take the high road.

Barack Obama doesn’t just mouth his Christian faith. He lives it by showing kindness and generosity to others just like Jesus instructed, “Whatever you do unto the least of these, you do unto me.”

Barack Obama is the person that puts America and people before politics and that is one of many reasons why I am voting for Barack Obama on November 4, 2008.

I never heard the ‘airport’ story before. I am not surprised. Obama is genuine, respectful and honorable. He’s not faking. He will make an excellent president and an exceptional international ambassador.

Paulette – I didn’t hear the airport story either until I read about it on DailyKos. The Diary has a link to the original article so the readers can follow the links and read the complete story.

Cats, thanks for this. I took the Daily Kos post and put it on my blog.

And you are so right about him showing kindness in the debates.

And this kind ethical man is the one McCain and Palin are painting as a terrorist and stirring up hatred in their rallies and in their ads.

Shame on them.

May they fully reap the karma they sow. I’m sure as Christians they can understand that concept.

Meanwhile, Obama will get elected and restore some faith in the White House and in America.
